President: February-December 2021 (Feb-April jointly with Peter Murphy)

Mark Korda held the Presidency during one of the most difficult years in Collingwood's modern history.

Taking over from long-term President Eddie McGuire was never going to be easy, especially with his resignation coming in the wake of the 'Do Better' report. But the Club was also reeling from the trade period at the end of 2020, when popular players such as Adam Treloar were forced out due to salary cap concerns. Then the team endured a horror season on-field, with coach Nathan Buckley eventually resigning mid-season but unable to avoid a 17th placed finish.

Initially Mark held the post jointly with another director, Peter Murphy. But after just a few months of joint stewardship, Peter decided the Club would be better off with just one President. Mark held the role until Jeff Browne took over at the AGM of 2021, and stayed on for another 12 months purely in his capacity as a Director.

Korda, a founder of insolvency firm KordaMentha, initially joined the Board in 2007, and in nearly 16 years of service spent time as Vice-President. He was also the Chair of the Finance and Risk Committee since its inception in 2007, and served as the Chair of the Investment Committee between 2018 and 2022.

Mark Korda gave outstanding service as a Board member, and as President helped pilot the Club through one of its more difficult years, setting it up for the success that followed soon afterwards.
