From Collingwood's earliest days, advertisers and businesses have seen the value of aligning themselves with the might of the Magpie Army.

This has meant our team, and individual players, have always featured heavily in promoting other people's products. It started after our first ever Premiership, way back in 1896, when all the players signed a letter for the newspapers extoling the virtues of Pepsin Chewing Gum, made by the famous MacRobertson's company. That was just five years after we had played our first game, and has to be one of the earliest known examples of footy-related endorsements.

In the years to come there would be many more, from cigarettes and cars to cereal and footy gear. Enjoy this cavalcade of Magpie-related ads from through the years (excluding internal club promotional ones), and keep your eye out as we'll be adding more as we find them!
